Integration of services and third-party tools

It may occur that within this online offering, content from third parties, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds, or graphics from other websites, is integrated. This always requires that the providers of this content perceive the IP address of the users. Because without the IP address, you cannot send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is therefore necessary for the display of this content. We strive to use only such content whose respective providers use the IP address solely for the delivery of the content. However, we have no influence if third-party providers store the IP address, for example, for statistical purposes. As far as we are aware, we inform the users about this.

Cookies

We use cookies on our website. Cookies are used by web analytics services like Google Analytics to identify the visitor.

The storage of cookies can be prevented by a setting in the browser. In this case, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent.

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits to us automatically. These are:

Browser type and browser version, operating system used, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing computer, time of the server request, IP address. A merging of this data with other data sources does not take place.

The basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, which permits the processing of data to fulfill a contract or pre-contractual measures.

Communication via email

Email communication that is not encrypted poses risks. Unauthorized persons may be able to view, modify, or delete data. If you communicate with us via email, you are aware of these risks and agree that bsocks.ch may also use this communication method (including unencrypted).

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service from Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies,” text files that are stored on your computer and allow for an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

In the event of the activation of IP anonymization on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP anonymization "anonymizeIP" is active on this website. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities, and to provide further services related to website usage and internet usage to the website operator.

The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google. You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting the settings of your browser software; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the features of this website to their full extent. Furthermore, you can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google as well as the processing of these data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

Google AdSense

This website uses Google AdSense, a service for embedding advertisements from Google Inc. ("Google"). The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google AdSense uses so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and allow for an analysis of the use of the website. Google AdSense also uses so-called web beacons (invisible graphics). Through these web beacons, information such as visitor traffic on these pages can be evaluated.

The information generated by cookies and web beacons about the use of this website (including your IP address) and the delivery of advertising formats is transmitted to a server of Google in the USA and stored there. This information may be shared by Google with Google's contractual partners. However, Google will not merge your IP address with other data stored by you.

The storage of AdSense cookies is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its web offerings and its advertising.

You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting the settings of your browser software; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the features of this website to their full extent. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data collected about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes described above.

Google Retargeting

This website uses retargeting technology on the internet. This allows us to specifically target internet users with advertisements on our partners' websites who have already shown interest in our products. The display of advertisements during retargeting is based on a cookie-based analysis of previous user behavior. Of course, no personal data is stored in this process, and the use of retargeting technology is carried out in compliance with applicable data protection regulations.

We work with the company Google, which specializes in retargeting technology. On this website, information about the browsing behavior of visitors is collected for advertising purposes in anonymized form through so-called retargeting technologies from Google (hereinafter referred to as "provider") and stored in "cookie" text files on your computer. The provider analyzes browsing behavior using an algorithm. Subsequently, targeted product recommendations can be displayed as personalized advertisements on other websites that may be of interest to you. Under no circumstances can this data be used to personally identify the visitor of this website.

If you still do not want to see personalized advertising banners from bsocks.ch, you can object to this data collection and storage for the future. By clicking on the symbol/button displayed in each advertising banner (e.g., "i"), you will be directed to the respective provider's website. There, the system of the retargeting technology will be explained to you again, and the option to opt-out will be offered. If you opt-out with the provider, a so-called "opt-out" cookie will be stored on your computer, which will prevent the display of the provider's advertising banners in the future. Please note that this opt-out can only be done from your computer if you do not want to see personalized advertising banners anymore. Additionally, the respective "opt-out" cookies must not be deleted from your computer.

Google Signals

We use Google Signals. This captures additional information about users in Google Analytics who have activated personalized ads (interests and demographic data), and ads can be delivered to these users in cross-device remarketing campaigns.

Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising program of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States ("Google").

As part of Google AdWords, we use what is known as conversion tracking. When you click on an ad served by Google, a cookie for conversion tracking is set. Cookies are small text files that the internet browser stores on the user's computer. These cookies expire after 30 days and do not serve to personally identify users. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page.

Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. The cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected through the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that would allow for personal identification of users. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can object to this use by disabling the Google conversion tracking cookie through your internet browser under user settings. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.

The storage of "conversion cookies" is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both their web offerings and their advertising.

You can find more information about Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking in Google's privacy policy: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.

You can configure your browser to be informed about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only on a case-by-case basis, exclude the acceptance of cookies for specific cases or generally, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

Google reCAPTCHA

We use 'Google reCAPTCHA' (hereinafter 'reCAPTCHA') on our websites. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ('Google').

reCAPTCHA is used to verify whether the data entry on our websites (e.g., in a contact form) is made by a human or by an automated program. To do this, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis starts automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g., IP address, duration of the website visitor's stay on the website, or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis is forwarded to Google.

The reCAPTCHA analyses run completely in the background. Website visitors are not informed that an analysis is taking place.

Data processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting his web offerings from abusive automated spying and spam.

Facebook processes data from you, including in the USA. We would like to point out that, according to the opinion of the European Court of Justice, there is currently no adequate level of protection for data transfer to the USA. This may involve various risks for the legality and security of data processing.

When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
